At first, it was very difficult for me to move out from Chennai. Yes, i am that much attached to this city (Dare you talk bad about Chennai in front of me). But, had no other go. I just had to start a new life in a new city.
When i shared the news of me being posted in Coimbatore many of my friends said
"Dude, you are lucky Coimbatore is a cool city" (I agree its cool here).
"Climate is really nice in Coimbatore, you are going to love the place"
"Great city da, Have fun"
"Near to home, you can go every weekend" (True, Great point)
Thanks guys, but those really did not cheer up at that time. I was furious vacating Chennai :(
Now that i have moved in to Coimbatore i must admit Coimbatore is really a beauty!
Coimbatore is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu and holds 160 colleges and 7 Universities (Approx). Which results at least two colleges in each bus stop. Without Colleges this city becomes half in size. And without Bakeries another half ;)
Meanwhile me living in a mansion in Sarvanampatti (one of the fast growing neighborhoods of Coimbatore because of invasion of IT companies) My friends say i can make friends quickly. Kind of agree with that. I am that kind. Sharing my room is a friend i made after coming here, who is fortunately my Team Lead :)
Whenever i go out of my room i wish i own a bike. Public transport is at its peak bad. Specially, to my office. There is no kind of damn way one could go to my office unless with an own transport or availing cab which costs 700 bucks a month to travel 6 km. But, thanks to my friends who are not making me worry much on this case.
Cannot end this post without sharing few words about Cities recreation. Like Chennai it has got no many Malls ans Cinema halls but hopefully lot of entertainment centers are mushrooming in this city :))
So far Coimbatore so good :)
