After weeks and weeks of planning, Our batch reunion was set on a fine Sunday. A movie, Lunch, and of course the Marina was the plan. Very usual one but always worth it :) So everyone was on time except me who initially planned to take a bus but, changed mind to come in bike (which i felt otherwise lately). So its an another weekend-Day out. Why blog about it? (After many days?).
The day was amazing with my friends, It was The Chennai Metro Police officials who made it an unforgettable one . Let me not hype it! I was caught for over speeding. Come on, it was an empty four lane Mount road and how on earth was i supposed to maintain the speed of 30 kmph. Only after being stopped by the official i noticed the board that said "30 kmph". Sooner i realized it was kept there intentionally for me :(
Gladly i took this opportunity to explore the device that they used to capture me. As a matter of fact it was the Gentle police man who gave me a Hands on to that device saying "You should understand the technology our police department work with!". It looked like an old Portable DVD player, with a 5 inch screen. Inside was me in my bike and below the small box showed "59 kmph". The device works like a camera and when the officials choose their prey they take a snap and the device displays the speed of their motion. And, hence the rule breakers are quickly confronted to get booked.
It was that historical day, As my name got uploaded into the Police Over speeding data base and i had to pay a fine of 300 bucks for that.
Well, It took me 10 months (after buying my bike) to get booked for the first time ;)
